Born in Gaza Film Screening ft. Guest Speaker

Fri, 19 Apr 2024
06:00 PM - 08:00 PM

For Palestinians, seeing family and friends lose their lives and futures in Gaza is part of a 75 year reality that has turned into a nightmare. However the Israeli attacks on Gaza can seem far away for most people, especially here on this continent.

With Palestinian refugees in our communities and circles, join us and learn to see the humans beyond the statistics.

Join Students for Refugees and the Curtin Palestinian Society in a free film screening of Born in Gaza, by award winning director Hernán Zin.

Following the lives of 10 young Palestinian children in Gaza, the film examines how the lives of these children continue to be transformed forever.

We will be joined by valued Palestinian and Gazan researcher Samiha Olwan, whose insight will shed light on the current reality in Gaza, and how narratives around palestinians can often be dehumanising, and to answer any questions you may have after the film!
